System Introduction
Sun is a structured balloon lighting platform developed for safer, softer and more adaptable temporary illumination across emergency rescue, construction, industrial maintenance, municipal service, event support, rental and special project environments.
Rather than forcing all users into one generic configuration, the family is organized into AP, SP, SE, FE and UE tiers. Each tier has a distinct relationship between light quality, controls, power architecture, balloon material, packing and commercial threshold.

Model Family Naming and Control Logic
Standard AP / SP / SE / FE / UE LED | Fixed-output standard configuration unless the matrix explicitly states an option. |
DAP | AP dimmable LED family; project pages emphasize dimming architecture and premium driver platform. |
DSP | SP dimmable LED family; domestic-brand dimmable driver, with selected 1200W+ two-level or bi-color options. |
DCAP / DCSP / DCSE | Dedicated DC module families. DCAP supports 24V/48V and project review for higher DC voltages; DCSP/DCSE follow their series definitions. |
CORN | Economic LED corn-lamp architecture used in FE/UE. CORN200 may be reviewed for optional DC battery support where stated. |
HMI | Daylight discharge source with external ballast/PSU. AP uses premium HMI positioning; lower tiers use their defined domestic-source architecture. |
TH | Tungsten halogen, typically 3200K warm-spectrum source with external PSU or source-appropriate switching. |
MH | Metal halide, conventional high-output discharge source with external ballast, used in SP/SE/FE/UE according to the matrix. |
Photometric Reference Method
· AP/SP LED reference luminous efficacy: approximately 150 lm/W in the current matrix.
· SE/FE/UE LED reference luminous efficacy: approximately 110 lm/W in the current matrix.
· HMI and metal-halide reference efficacy: approximately 90–110 lm/W.
· Tungsten-halogen reference efficacy: approximately 29–32 lm/W.
· The cross-series illuminated-area benchmark retains LED 400W at approximately 11 m reference coverage radius; area scales proportionally with the established lumen benchmark for comparison.
· Coverage radius and area are selection references, not guaranteed lux boundaries. Final usable area depends on mounting height, source distribution, ambient light, surfaces and required illumination level.
Power, Control and Deployment Principles
· Confirm AC/DC requirement before selecting the model family. Do not assume a standard high-power LED version supports direct battery input.
· For battery projects, define voltage, battery chemistry, usable energy, target runtime, connector, charger and vehicle interface before production.
· For dimmable projects, define dimming method and any CCT/two-level requirement before final driver selection.
· For HMI/MH/TH, treat lamp head, ballast/PSU, cable and mains voltage as one matched system.
· Tripod or mast selection must consider model weight, mounting height, wind, anchoring and public proximity. The matrix gives recommended product-family support, not a site engineering approval.
Materials, Packing and Logistics
· AP: premium FR nylon / PTFE fiberglass options depending on model and project.
· SP: professional FR nylon / PTFE fiberglass options with series-specific commercial balance.
· SE: FR waterproof nylon with reflective top safety panel.
· FE: nylon Oxford with reflective top safety panel.
· UE: treated waterproof fabric with external safety color.
· Packed balloon size follows the current L × H rule in the matrix; cases, cartons, stands and ballast/power modules may ship as separate packages.
· Battery-containing shipments must be planned according to applicable transport and dangerous-goods requirements.
Global Selection Workflow
1. Define the application, operating environment, target users and market positioning.
2. Choose the tier: AP, SP, SE, FE or UE.
3. Choose the light-source family: LED, dimmable LED, DC LED, CORN, HMI, tungsten halogen or metal halide.
4. Use power, lumens, reference illuminated area and coverage radius to narrow the model range.
5. Confirm control, AC/DC power, voltage, plug, cable length, battery/runtime requirement and driver/ballast architecture.
6. Confirm balloon material, working size, packed size, support, anchoring, packing and transport method.
7. Confirm customization, branding, accessories, documentation, warranty, lead time and target delivery date.
8. Issue the final quotation / engineering sheet as the binding order definition.
Commercial Planning and After-sales Principles
Production lead time | Planning reference generally 10–25 working days for standard models and 20–30 working days for selected high-output/custom HID configurations; final schedule depends on quantity, source/driver/ballast availability and approvals. |
Warranty | Planning reference 12 months from shipment against manufacturing defects under normal use. Final warranty and component exclusions follow the approved quotation/order. |
OEM / ODM | Available for selected materials, branding, labels, packing, accessories and destination-market configuration subject to feasibility and commercial quantity. |
Transport | Courier, air or sea by package size, urgency and destination. Battery shipments require separate compliance planning where applicable. |
After-sales information | Order reference, model/configuration, labels, operating conditions, clear photos/video and description of the issue should be retained for technical review. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Which tier should be promoted first?
Use the target market rather than a universal answer. SE/FE fit broad engineering and price-sensitive growth channels, SP fits professional rental/event use, AP builds premium technical authority, and UE supports selective entry-level volume.
Why are there several versions at the same wattage?
Wattage alone does not define the product. Series tier, LED grade, control, DC architecture, balloon material, packing and channel positioning create different product values.
Are the illuminated-area figures final photometric guarantees?
No. They are structured reference values. A project lux plan requires mounting height, target lux, ambient light, surface reflectance and site geometry.
Can a customer request a configuration outside the matrix?
A custom project can be reviewed, but the deviation should be clearly recorded in the quotation or engineering sheet instead of silently changing the standard model definition.
