Artemis Film & TV Balloon Light — Complete Series Overview
Website Category / Technical & Commercial Guide
Artemis is HAFE/FENIGAL’s professional inflatable soft-light family for film, television, commercial and media production. The system uses treated, air-tight textile envelopes to transform high-output light engines into large apparent sources with soft, low-shadow illumination.
The current product architecture is deliberately split into two physical scales: large Artemis balloons for helium-supported floating or suspended/rigged use, and compact Iris, Xpad and Halo grip lights for stand-based portable production. Large Artemis is further divided into current LED and traditional Artemis Classic source systems.
Product Architecture
· B0301 Artemis LED — large Ellipse, Sphere, Tube, Pad, Cube and L-Cube systems; fixed white, tunable CCT and RGB+CCT (VB).
· B0302 Artemis Classic — HMI/Daylight, Tungsten and Hybrid large-format balloons using professional lamp/ballast architectures.
· B0303 Artemis Grip — Iris, Xpad and Xhalo/Halo portable inflatable soft lights for grips and stands.
Core Balloon Advantages
· Broad diffused soft source for fill, key and ambient illumination.
· Inflatable/foldable architecture reduces transport volume compared with similarly large rigid soft-light structures.
· Large envelopes can be helium-supported or air-filled and rigged; compact grip models mount to stands/support systems.
· Treated fabrics emphasize light weight, transmission, anti-yellowing/UV and moisture/hydrolysis resistance according to the legacy Artemis catalog.
LED Naming Rule
Fixed single-CCT LED has no suffix. Tunable CCT adds CCT. RGB+CCT adds VB. Large model geometry is encoded in the model, e.g. Artemis-P-L70W70H16-LED7200, Artemis-P-L70W70H16-LED7200CCT and Artemis-P-L70W70H16-LED7200VB.
LED Channel Philosophy
CCT builds normally use approximately equal warm/cold installed power. VB builds use RGB:CCT around 3:2 as a standard design basis; a stronger white section, including roughly 1:1, can be engineered as a special configuration.
Source Heritage
The 2020 Artemis catalog documents HMI daylight, Tungsten and Hybrid systems, compatible electronic-ballast concepts and Halo stand-mounted products. These legacy configurations are retained as Classic marketing references but lamp, ballast and electrical availability must be reconfirmed before production.
